Oxlease PB.

34lb PB Common.

25 June 2010

My name is Michael Woodham. I've just completed a 48 hour session on Oxlease starting from Thursday afternoon. This was the first time I have fished Oxlease since the floods in 2007 so I had know idea what to expect. I fished in the middle on the far side so we would have a good view of the whole lake. Thursday night passed with out any action so I was up early friday morning to rebait my rigs. At about 10:30am I had a take on my left hand rod which I unfortunately lost in the weed. I quickly rebaited my rig and cast it back to the spot. Roughly an hour later I had a screaming take on the same rod. I knew I had a decent fish on but didnt realise how big she was untill she slipped in the net. My father in law netted the fish for me and kept it in the water while I got everything prepared on the bank. When I looked in the the net I realised I had my new PB (second from Oxlease). Laying in the net was a huge Common! I slipped her in the weigh sling and lifted her up with my Ruben Heatons. My Father & Brother in Law checked her weight. She was even bigger than I first thought, 34lb exactly! Beating my PB by 9lb.

Also during the trip my brother in law caught his first 20 and his friend caught a PB of 16lb. What a trip.

Many Thanks, Michael.
