DOVETAIL GAMES AND LINEAR FISHERIES SIGN LICENSING DEAL

Renowned fishing lakes to feature in Dovetail Games Fishing

Chatham, Kent – 5th March 2015– Dovetail Games, the multi award-winning simulation developer and publisher today announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Linear Fisheries for its upcoming game Dovetail Games Fishing.

Linear Fisheries is the most well-known day ticket fishing complex in the UK. Based in Oxford, the facility offers a choice of eight waters to choose from on a day ticket, giving those with a keen interest in fishing the opportunity to come and fish as and when they choose, without needing to commit to long-term membership programmes.

As part of the deal, Linear Fisheries’ St. John’s Lake will be one of the main featured lakes to be included in the full release of Dovetail Games Fishing, later in 2015. The two companies will then continue to work together to create additional lakes for inclusion in downloadable content to be released after the game’s initial launch.

“It’s been fantastic to work with Linear Fisheries to faithfully recreate St. John’s Lake for Dovetail Games Fishing. The team at Linear has given us unprecedented access to the lake, giving us the chance to take photographs from every swim and map every landmark surrounding the water,” said Darren Potter, Development Director at Dovetail Games. “Our aim is to deliver the most realistic fishing simulation ever made, and working hand in hand with Linear gives us the opportunity to create a very detailed and authentic fishing environment for our players.”

Linear Fisheries’ Director Andrew Smith added, “We’re very impressed with what we’ve seen so far of Dovetail Games Fishing. The game is extremely realistic and we’re happy to be working with Dovetail Games to help contribute to that sense of realism. Anything that encourages more people into the sport of fishing gets a big thumbs-up from us.”

Dovetail Games will also be showing Dovetail Games Fishing at the Linear Fisheries fifth annual pro-am charity event, ‘Fish with the Stars’, which takes place from 10th – 12th August 2015.

Built with Unreal Engine 4®, Dovetail Games Fishing is a new breed of outdoor sport simulation that faithfully depicts the real-world competitive and recreational angling experience. Players will need to choose the right tools for the job at hand to locate, attract and land their wily prey. The full adventure will eventually expand to encompass a worldwide variety of species, environments and fishing styles.

Dovetail Games is currently scheduled for release later in 2015 for PC, with other platforms to follow later. For the latest news and developments, please visit dtgfishing.com or follow along on Dovetail Games’ Twitter and Dovetail Games’ Facebook.
